The light in the early morning hours of the day are the most unique to me. The colors are pale and pallid, the light from the sun is more white in appearance but; can be tinged slightly depending on how much the atmosphere has been stirred up relative to the location of the observer. Even if you are in a valley between the mountains (like Reno is) that low angle light gives you some interesting shadows and object interactions to play with. In this location especially, a field surrounded by trees and tall bushes with brush; there are all kinds of areas catching the morning light.

A macro photo of a pink flower in the evening light

I kept imagining a couple holding hands while walking down the path, dogs in tow sniffing at all the flowers and zooming through the fields. A family might be standing in an open area with a rising sun behind them, a husband pulls his wife close holding her shoulder while smiling as they watch their small child observe nature up close. I see a mother holding her baby on her hip; her hair catches the sun and they laugh in the early morning light as they rub noses together. Lovers soon to be wedded sit on a bench and bask in the first warm rays of the day, smiling as bright as their future together will be.

The ‘Dark Warmth’ vibe works especially well here. In the spring I see a light sort of pastel kind of shoot as all the vegetation will be fresh and new. In the summer bright and orange for sure as the sun and high desert feel will be at it’s height. At the time of this writing in the fall I think a Halloween edition would work here as well, plenty of spots to get some spooky feels!

The afternoon lights on these leaves is just awesome here.

A cloud with a slightly mammatus appearance is lit by the morning sun.

A slight mammatus cloud formation. Interesting name for an interesting cloud.

A field lit by the morning sun, smaller plants catch the light marking the field in a polka-dotted manner.

Nice spot as my office for the morning!

My furry assistant for the day agrees with the assessment on this spot lol.

I’ve always enjoyed macro images of flowers with a really dark background.

Not a bad spot to have an office for the morning!
